Takara hon mirin is a premium quality, sweet, alcoholic rice seasoning. Use in place of mirin-style seasoning in Japanese cuisine for a superior flavour. Hon mirin is also suitable for beverage use. You can enjoy it chilled or at room temperature, plain or even with a little lime juice. For a warming winter drink, people in Japan will also serve hon mirin with a little ginger and hot water.
