Description

Crispy fried shallots are a tasty topping for rice bowls and stir fries. They have an addictive crunchy texture and savoury onion flavour. 

In Asian cuisine, crispy shallots are used as a garnish at the end of cooking. Try scattering them over noodles and fried fish.

For a Western twist, sprinkle crispy shallot flakes on hot dogs and loaded fries. You can also mix them with breadcrumbs to coat chicken escalopes. Once fried, serve your breaded chicken with a fried egg or katsu curry sauce.
