Fried garlic adds a savoury flavour and crunchy texture to your dish. It’s a great way to enjoy the taste of garlic without the hassle of peeling and chopping. 

The crispy, golden flakes have a pungent aroma. They are made from garlic cloves that are finely chopped and fried until golden brown. If you don’t have fresh garlic to hand, you can use fried garlic instead.

In Southeast Asia, fried garlic is a popular topping for soups, stir fries and steamed fish. There are few dishes that cannot be improved by a scattering of crispy garlic.

Use fried garlic as a garnish for noodles and fried rice. It’s great in marinades and salad dressings, too. You can mix it with soy sauce and black vinegar to make a quick dipping sauce. The tangy, savoury dip is delicious with wontons and spring rolls.
