Description

Ruote is a fun addition to your pasta collection. It’s shaped like a wagon wheel with fine ridges on its surface. It’s fantastic in pasta salads and Italian soups, such as minestrone. 

Sauces get caught in the holes in the pasta, so each mouthful is full of flavour. Serve ruote with creamy walnut sauce or spicy sausage ragu. It’s also fantastic with a sauce made from roasted red peppers. Stir through some goat’s cheese for added creaminess.

Michele Portoghese uses traditional pasta making methods passed down through generations. Extruded through bronze and slowly dried, their pasta has a slightly rough texture. This helps sauces to cling to the surface, so each bite is as delicious as the last.
