The spread is made from specially selected Kalamata olives. They are grown in the Kalamata region of the Peloponnese in southern Greece. The purple olives have a meaty texture and robust, smoky flavour.
The olives are crushed and sieved to remove the skins and stones. Kalios adds a splash of extra virgin olive oil to create a smooth spread.
Kalamata olive mezze can be used in all sorts of ways. Serve it with crudités or spread it on wraps and sandwiches. Or, add a spoonful to sauces and stews. It’s fantastic in a tomato sauce for pizza and pasta.
