Description

This unique fruit vinegar is made with the juice of ripe calamansi, a citrus hybrid that is native to the Philippines. The fruit has a sweet-tart flavour that is delicious in both sweet and savoury dishes. The fragrant juice is combined with sugar and vinegar and left to age so that the flavours can develop. 

You can use calamansi vinegar in the same way as you would use lemon juice, but in smaller quantities as it has a more potent flavour. It has sharp, fresh notes of citrus that work well in ceviche, salad dressings and in sauces for fish and seafood. You can drizzle it over grilled vegetables, add a dash to marinades for chicken or use it to balance the sweetness of a caramel dessert.

About Huilerie Beaujolaise

Based in the Rhone Valley, Huilerie Beaujolaise have been making artisan oils and vinegars since 1981. Made using a traditional mill, their products are 100% natural with no additives or preservatives. Their organic oils and fruit vinegars are built around one specially selected ingredient to deliver the purest flavour. Produced in small batches, these wonderful oils and condiments make fantastic gifts for keen cooks and food lovers.
