Description
This red wild rice comes from the grain oryza sativa, and is cultivated in Thailand and Cambodia. The rice has a distinctive red shiny appearance. The rice has a nutty flavour and is a great choice for wild rice salads, or served as a side with steamed fish or grilled chicken.
The rice also works well as a stuffing for roasted peppers and squash, mixed with toasted nuts, raisins and fresh herbs.
